The year-end celebration less than three weeks away, it’s time to plan where to close the year and spend the last moments of 2017. Bali is always a good idea when it comes to holiday planning. With the breathtaking panoramas and rich culture, side by side with big parties, who can resist spending the new year’s even in Bali?
Bali got what everyone needs. From little family who looks for fun activities, groups of young people on the hunt for parties, and even a couple who wants a quiet and romantic getaway. Here we give suggestions to the three groups mentioned above and we hope it suits what you were looking for.
1. Family Fun Time
Beach and mountains, Bali got them all. The beach is of course the first priority, head to calm and sandy beach like the ones in Sanur. Your little one can play with their sand-toys while you chill on the daybed while sipping cold coconut water.
Or go to the more adventurous areas of Bali like the Bedugul Botanical Park, where you can have picnic under the trees and go picking fresh strawberries afterward. Looking for more indoor activity? Then definitely you have to visit playgrounds or museums hopping. As for the new year’s eve, go back to the beach and enjoy the fireworks.
2. Party Goers
From beach clubs to bars, party lovers will never run out of choices in Bali. Before the new year’s eve, find spots less visited like the hidden beaches. Even though it will take you a bit more physical effort to get there, but once you’re there, the beautiful beach will pay it off. When planning to go to a beach club, don’t forget to book in advance, as the year end is a high season in Bali.
When it comes to what to do for the new year’s eve, almost every hotel, bars and clubs are having a special event. Party with international DJs in the clubs around Kuta and Seminyak, or have laid-back bar experience in Sanur.
3. Romantic Getaway
Start your year end holiday with splurge on good food around Bali. From international 7-course meals to alcoholic brunch buffet, it depends on your palate. Bali is definitely a culinary heaven.
When it’s closer to the new year’s eve, we would recommend you to move to the more remote areas in Bali. Head to Ubud for quiet night in the middle of nowhere or back down to Sanur and book you and your loved one a comfy little room, where you can watch movies on TV and order good food.
